She says it with smiling pointedness -- he's the one who brought up a date, after all, and it's not her fault the idea's such an appealing one -- but that doesn't mean the smile on his face and the idea that he'd be willing to skip dinner in favor of her doesn't put a pleased and eager knot in her stomach.
In fact, she only wastes enough time to take another sip from her champagne glass before she looks around and waves a rat over.
Liking their agreement doesn't mean she's not just as interested in what comes after dinner, and being the reason he smiles like that goes right to her head.
