At first she's surprised by his laughter. Then she's a little bit irritated by it: is he laughing at her? At himself? At the situation?
Because the situation is ridiculous. That she can agree with.
Eventually, in spite of herself, she starts to smile faintly, almost wryly, and when he asks her what they're doing, she gives him a shrug that has a hint of carelessness but is really anything but.
"If you have to ask that, we're probably doing something wrong." She still hasn't shaken the feeling of being completely ready to get up and make an exit if she feels she needs to, but even despite that, she smiles at him. Just barely. "But I'm not much for overanalyzing."
